In this edition we speak to Craig…
Your name & job title:
I’m Craig and I work as Cluster Maintenance Manager. I oversee all planned, preventative and reactive works in relation to the buildings, all mechanical and electrical services & the upkeep of the grounds.
Which venue do you work for?
I work at Alexandra House and Milton Hill House.
Alexandra House is a modern conference centre near Swindon, on the edge of the Cotswolds.
Milton Hill House is a Georgian manor house in Oxfordshire.
Both venues are set in acres of green land, so it’s great to be able to work on the buildings themselves but also on the beautiful grounds.
How long have you worked here?
What is the best thing about working for The Venues Collection?
The staff, they understand teamwork.
What is your favourite event type?
Roadshows & corporate events with all rooms in use. There is such a buzz with these types of events especially roadshows with speakers, panel discussions, product conversations, demos, and networking opportunities.
What is your favourite room at your venue and why?
It has to be Milton Hill House lobby, with its fantastic Georgian architecture. For Alexandra House it would have to be the Wroughton or Alexandra suite which are big spaces – ideal while we all have to be socially distanced but need to meet.

What is your favourite food?
Mediterranean! Anything with olives!
What is your favourite film & why?
Interstellar. Because the physics and visuals are amazing.
What is your ideal holiday destination?
